Swingset

This year we decided to get the kids a swingset for their birthdays. They desperately needed something to do outside to get them out of the house and I think it was a wise decision. They have spent so much time out there playing with each other and friends. We had 2 boxes that had to be set out and put together. It was a lot of work but they are loving it so I guess it was worth it.
Waiting for everything to be put together, Baylee fell asleep in the grass. It is hard to wait when you are excited for something.
The final set up. So much fun!! It is so much more fun to have something to do when you go outside to play. You can only blow so many bottles of bubbles and draw so many pictures on the sidewalk before you start looking for something else to do. This was the perfect solution.
Even the little Zoe loves it. She loves hanging on the monkey bar, playing peek-a-boo behind the wall and going down the slide. She can even climp up the ladder by herself(with mom behind to make sure she doesn't fall down).

No Training Wheels!!

We finally talked Brody into trying his bike without the training wheels and after just a few days of working on we now have a 2 wheeler riding boy. He is loving riding up and down the sidewalk in front of our houseand he loves going down hills.

Visit to Colorado

We got to go to Colorado in the end of June to visit Grandpa Jon and Grandma Diane and meet their new daughters that they adopted. We had a great time with them and would have only wished that grandma didn't have to work most of the time so that we could have spent more time with her as well. I took a ton of pictures of the girls and the time we spent at the farm but for some reason I didn't take many at the house or with Grandma. I feel so bad about that. Thanks for being so awesome and letting us stay at your home. We had a great time visiting. The next few posts are all about our trip but I am sure I didn't do them in the right order. Oh well!

Grandma and Granddad's Farm

Dallas helped his dad fix a piece for the tractor then we all got to take a ride around the farm. It was so much fun to see the kids faces as Dallas let them turn the wheel and "drive" the tractor

Patiently waiting for his turn on the tractor. What a handsome little cowboy we have.
Even Zoe got her turn to ride.
I love these kids so much! They make my life so awesome. I am so happy that I get to spend the rest of eternity with them.

Great Grandparents

While in Colorado, we were so blessed to be able to see Dallas' grandparents (the kids Great Grandparents). They haven't been able to see these grandparents very much at all so we knew it was important to spend a lot of time with them. We had so much fun sitting and listening to stories from when grandma was younger and going through pictures of the family. I didn't know much about the history of this side of the family so I really tried to right things down as much as I could to remember everything.
Zoe and Grandpa Jack. She thought his oxygen tubes were very interesting and kept pulling them off his face.

4 generations of Sawyer boys. Such a good looking bunch.
Going through pictures with Grandma, I think Dallas had the most fun sitting and listening to grandma, it reminded him of when they used to go visit when he was younger.

Zoe, loving on Grandma. What a special picture this will be for us to have.

Grandma jokingly said that she didn't know how long she was going to be around and told all of us to pick something that we wanted from her home. Dallas said he wanted her gun and I didn't know what to say for myself. I didn't know what she even had that she would want to give me. She decided for me and gave me a set of beautiful glass serving dishes. She is such a sweet lady and I hope that we are able to go visit again soon.

New Sisters

Dallas' dad and his wife Diane were able to adopt 2 girls from Russia and we were so excited to meet them. Maggie and Fran were so cute and although they have quite a ways to go to learn the english language, they will be so blessed to have a mom and dad who love them.
They were such loving sisters and were always looking out for each other.
They had a lot of fun playing with our kids and trying to figure out what the others were saying.
The girls were very helpful with Zoe and loved to just sit and cuddle.

1st Airplane Ride

In June we got to go out to Colorado to visit Dallas' Family. Brody, Baylee, and Zoe got to take their first airplane ride and they had so much fun. It was a pretty quick flight and they all did very well. It was so much fun to see their reactions to the whole experience.
The girls and I were on one row and Brody and Dallas sat together behind us. I wasn't sure how Zoe would handle it but she was so good the whole time.
The girl sitting by Brody let him play angry birds on her Ipad so he was occupied the whole time. He thought it was so cool how big it was compared to Dallas' phone.
